Nicole Taylor, a founding member of the country group Taylor Red, has died. Her sisters Nika and Natalie Taylor confirmed the news in a video posted on Monday. Nicole was 35 years old.

The family held a private funeral service following her death on September 28. In the video, the sisters described Nicole’s four-year struggle with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Nicole was diagnosed in 2022. Her sisters said she responded well to initial chemotherapy and was declared disease-free. However, her condition worsened nine months later when doctors identified a more serious progression.

Nika Taylor explained that after Nicole asked for her prognosis, medical staff estimated she had three months to live. The sisters noted that Nicole lived for another full year beyond that prediction.

"She tried not to live in fear, remained really hopeful, traveled, she tried to live life, she worked really hard, she tried to have fun," Natalie Taylor said. Nika added that their sister even completed CrossFit workouts during her treatment sessions.

The sisters shared Nicole’s response to her final diagnosis. She told her loved ones, "Everybody's gonna face judgment, and I'm ready to." They described her as fearless throughout the illness.

Nicole Taylor was born on March 18, 1991. She and her triplet sisters formed the band Red Roots in 2010. The group released their debut album in 2011, followed by "The Middle of Nowhere" in 2012 and "Triplicity" in 2014.

In 2015, the trio signed with Inpop Records and adopted the name Taylor Red. They released the track "Country Money" in 2021. Nika and Natalie stated that Nicole maintained a steady faith until her death.

"We are still shocked and didn't think this would happen," Nika Taylor said. "But we know she's not suffering anymore, and we have God's promise of ultimate healing."
