Spanish musician C. Tangana released "Milko Freestyle" this week, marking his first solo song in three years. He dropped the track just hours after announcing his return to the recording studio. The sudden release prompted a wave of reactions across social media platforms.
The song signals a return to rap for the artist. His previous major release was the 2021 album "El Madrileño." Since then, he has focused on film work and other creative projects while starting a family. His partner is Chilean photographer Rocío Aguirre.
Tangana and Aguirre began their relationship in 2019. Their first child arrived in April 2026. The new lyrics address these recent life changes. The singer references the birth of his son and the death of a close friend who passed away a few months ago.
He sings, "Sin tiempo para asimilarlo, mi niño ha nacido y mi vida ha cambiado / y otra vez pensando en el puto legado, en el nombre y el hambre que voy a dejarle." The lines translate to having no time to adjust as his child was born and his life changed, while worrying about the legacy, name, and hunger he will leave behind.
Promotional images and the music video for "Milko Freestyle" include the infant. The baby appears in several shots but does not show his face in any frame. The visual campaign ties the musical comeback directly to his new role as a father.
