Pete Yorn, a 52-year-old singer-songwriter, announced a solo acoustic tour via TikTok and other social media platforms. The tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Musicforthemorningafter. That record was released in March 2001. Yorn will perform the material in a stripped-back acoustic format for fans across the United States.
The original album ran for just under 60 minutes and contained 14 tracks. It spawned three singles. Critics and listeners at the time noted the record mixed rock, pop, and folk styles. It became a staple in the music collections of listeners in the early 2000s. The album is often associated with the indie rock movement before the term became widely standardized on digital streaming services.
To mark the milestone, Yorn released a deluxe digital version of the album. This new edition includes live versions of the songs. Yorn recorded these new tracks at Jack White’s Third Man Records studio in Nashville.
