Samsung has published a specific schedule for the rollout of One UI 9, the company's latest software layer built on Android 17. The list identifies 40 specific Galaxy phones and tablets that will receive the update in Japan during October and November 2026. This schedule provides a clear timeline for owners in that region, though the device list is expected to apply globally.

The update targets a wide range of hardware, starting with the current flagship lineup. The Galaxy S26, S26+, S26 Ultra, S25, S25 Ultra, S24, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE are all included. The list also extends to the previous year's top performers, specifically the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra. These devices form the core of the high-end update wave.

Foldable devices represent a major portion of the eligible hardware. Samsung has scheduled One UI 9 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5. This inclusion ensures that owners of both the newest and the previous generation of foldable screens will receive the new software features within the same two-month window.

Mid-range phones and tablets are also part of this specific rollout group. The list includes the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25. On the tablet side, the update covers the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10 series, the Tab S9 series, and the Tab S6 Lite (2024). The Galaxy Tab A11, A11+/5G, and Active 5 Pro are the only other models on the list.

The official list from Samsung Japan is not exhaustive. It omits several obvious candidates, such as the "Plus" versions of the recent Galaxy S flagships and many other Galaxy A models. Devices sold exclusively in other regions are also missing from this specific document. However, the core set of 40 models is expected to serve as the baseline for the global rollout.

Samsung confirmed that these updates will arrive in Japan between October and November 2026. The company plans to continue the global rollout beyond this period. Many entry-level devices that are not on this initial list are likely to receive the software in December and January.

One UI 9 first appeared in September on the Galaxy S26 series. It has since reached some devices from the previous generation. The new schedule clarifies the next group of devices to receive the major software update.
