The singer dropped the premium front zone after fans criticized the initial pricing for his 2027 stadium run.

Front standing tickets for Sam Fender’s upcoming Wembley show are now priced at 98.85 pounds, down from the initial listing of 130.75 pounds. The 32 year old musician made the adjustment after social media users criticized the wide price spread for the Proper Massive tour, which he announced earlier this week.
The pricing structure triggered immediate scrutiny when Instagram user Gavin Davis posted a screenshot of the ticket options. The original listing showed a 31.90 pound difference between front and standard standing areas. Seated tickets ranged from 64.75 pounds to 130.75 pounds. Fender replied to the post directly, stating that the initial figures were not his final decision.
Fender explained that the prices had risen beyond his original intentions. He stated that any increase should strictly cover the actual expenses of staging the production. He argued against using ticket prices as an additional profit margin for ticketing partners.
The artist also eliminated the distinction between front and back standing zones. He described the tiered system as bollocks and confirmed it would not be part of the tour setup. He noted confusion over how such a division became a standard in live music.
The high initial costs were not isolated to London. Newcastle top tickets reached 112.90 pounds, Cardiff hit 119 pounds, and Manchester topped out at 119.60 pounds. Edinburgh had the highest price point in the UK lineup at 120.95 pounds. Standing areas in all these cities exceeded the 100 pound mark in the initial listings.
Presale access opens Wednesday morning, with general sales starting Friday. The tour runs across the summer of 2027. Fender will perform at St James’s Park in Newcastle, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Marley Park in Dublin, Murrayfield in Edinburgh, and the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
This move follows a similar response from Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson in August. Larsson used a TikTok video to agree that her Bangkok show tickets were expensive. She expressed a desire for more control over the pricing process to lower financial barriers for fans. Fender also confirmed earlier this week that a fourth studio album is in the works. His 2025 album People Watching won the Mercury prize. His collaboration with Olivia Dean on Rein Me In won the 2026 Brit award for song of the year and spent 23 weeks at number one on the singles chart.
