The annual Sleepy Hollow Street Fair has moved to November 8 after October rains canceled the event. The street fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 8. Beekman Avenue will be closed to cars during the event, creating a free, walkable day for visitors to enjoy arts and crafts stalls, food trucks, and local shops. The event will feature 145 vendors, live music, and children’s activities. Rainouts in October prompted the Sleepy Hollow Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce to reschedule the popular event. Executive Director Lucia Ballas-Traynor said the event brings out the best of the community. The entertainment schedule includes performances by Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk, the Headless Horseman, Witches Along the Hudson, and Luis Enrique’s Andean Flutes Band. The Village of Sleepy Hollow Kids’ Zone will also be located at the Beekman Parking Lot. The BUMP will provide live music at the Beekman Parking Lot Entrance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The village will be opening the East Parcel Parking Lot at 60 Continental St., but parking is scarce and visitors are encouraged to take the train to get into the street fair. Metro-North stations Tarrytown and Philipse Manor are less than a mile from Beekman Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to park and board trains in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Croton Harmon, or Hastings-on-Hudson.
